How the President plans to pay for the Plan:
1) The president will not raise taxes for those in the middle class. Only the upper 3% of working Americans will see their taxes increase.
2) Money is always wasted by the inefficiency of the current healthcare and Medicare system. The whole system will be redesigned so that ...it is more cost efficient, which will cut government spending.
3) If you are not in the top 3% of the income bracket you will not see taxes increase to pay for the healthcare plan.
Please read the bill for specifics and please refrain from making false accusations based on emotions. If you have a dispute then say what it is and I will try and respond.

3) Many senior citizens fear that Medicare will be cut to pay for the new plan. Medicare will NOT be cut and the Medicare trust fund will be extended. The only changes made to Medicare will be to ensure that prescription drug prices are lowered.
4) Insurance companies will not be able to deny insurance on the basis of p...reexisting conditions any longer. They will not be allowed to cut coverage or increase premium costs when you are faced with an illness.
5) You can still buy your own insurance if you need to. You will receive tax credits and will most likely pay less than what you currently do.

Facts about the health care reform bill:
1) One of the most common arguments I hear from opponents of the health care bill is that you will be forced to buy healthcare from the government. That is a false statement. If you already have an insurance provider, you will not be required to change your provider or doctor. Yo...u can choose to buy your insurance from either your employer or individually.
2) Another common misconception, especially among small business owners, is that these businesses will be forced by the government to provide healthcare to employees. Small business owners will not be required to provide healthcare to employees but will receive tax credits if they choose to do so.
